This Organization was formed in 1997 as a division in the political areas in the State of Texas. It has the authorization to build, maintain, repair, and handle roadway projects in North Texas. It is currently serving in Serves, Dallas, Denton, Collin, Tarrant & Johnson Counties. It owes & is operating in the TollwaySam Rayburn Tollway, President George Bush Roadways, Dallas North, Addison Airport Toll Tunnel,, Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge Chisholm Trail Parkway & Mountain Creek Lake Bridge. It raises a Capital for Construction Projects through which it issues the bonds for Roadways. It doesn’t receive any direct tax Funding. The tolls here are Collected to pay the debt and maintain the roadways according to the 2015 Legislative Principles.

Ans.) Yes, Moneygram Charges Fees of $2, if you are paying for ZipCash & TollTag.

2.) When & Why did NTTA switch to Electronic toll collection i.e; Cashless Toll Collection?

Ans.) It all started from the President George Bush Roadways on 1 July 2009 and was followed by the Dallas North Tollway, Addison Airport Toll Tunnel, and the Mountain Creek Lake Bridge on December 10, 2010.

It was converted to all ETC( All-Electronic Toll Collections) due to the following reasons :

To save time through reduced stop-and-go traffic and idling toll booths. It eliminates the merging and weaving of the vehicles. It improves air quality. It also increases Fuel Efficiency.

3.) What do the acronyms on my bill mean?

DNT – Dallas North Tollway. PGBT – President George Bush Turnpike. SRT – Sam Rayburn Tollway. AATT – Addison Airport Toll Tunnel. MCLB – Mountain Creek Lake Toll Bridge. LLTB – Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge. SH161 – State Highway 161. 360T – 360 Tollway.

 4.) What about the Vehicles with out-of-state license plates ?

Ans.) They are currently in partnership with a third party for acquiring out-of-state vehicles, all types of vehicles are pursued with Toll Taxes whether they are registered in Texas or any other state. 

5.) Can I transfer my old vehicles TollTag if I buy a new vehicle ?

Ans.) No,you cannot transfer the TollTag from one vehicle to other because they are inoperable after being removed from the windshield.

6.) Can I use TollTag on my Motorcycles?

Ans.) Yes, you can use TollTags on Motorcycles.
