Disable power-saving mode

Your Fire Stick will automatically go into power-saving mode after 20 minutes of inactivity—that’s not always a bad thing. but you might want to disable it for certain apps (like Netflix) so that your screen doesn’t dim and you lose your place. To do so, go into Settings > Display & Sounds and slide Sleepover so that it turns green. You can also adjust how long it takes before your device powers down completely by adjusting the Sleep Timer under Power Saving Mode. 

Try these troubleshooting tips first before you contact support: Unplug and restart your device. (Sometimes, a simple reset solves all your connectivity woes. ) Next, check out your wireless router. Make sure it’s set up correctly and is password-protected (preferably with WPA2 encryption). Finally, if all else fails and you need help, reach out to customer service. They should be able to get you back online within hours—not days or weeks. If they can’t resolve your issue within 48 hours of when you contacted them, they will issue you a refund and apologize for any inconvenience!
