How to Fix If Your PS5 Console Enter Rest Mode?

According to the multiple reports that surfaced on various forums, it seems that the PS5 Rest Mode is one of the main reasons behind plenty of errors or issues in recent days. Though the Rest Mode isn’t a new thing for PlayStation console users, it becomes very trendy these days due to its issues. Rest Mode comes to the PS5 by default that applies whenever users don’t play games or touch anything from the controller for at least 20 minutes or so depending on what timeframe is set.

But luckily the Rest Mode can be turned off or go back into the normal mode again. We’ve shared two easy methods to do so.

1. Turn Off PS5 Rest Mode

Turning off the Rest Mode is way easier than you think. This is almost similar to the auto-lock screen on smartphones. To do this:

  • Head over to the Settings menu from the home screen.
  • From System Settings, select Power Saving.
  • Now, you have to select Set Time Until PS5 Enters Rest Mode.
  • Then choose Don’t Put in Rest Mode.
  • Once done, restart your PS5 console.
  • Enjoy!

2. Go Back to Normal Mode

If in case, your PS5 console enters into the Rest Mode, just make sure to press any button on your DualSense controller to wake up the screen. If not, you can simply switch off your console and turn it on again. Sometimes, only waking up the screen and go back into the normal mode won’t work if you’re already playing any game or paused it. In that scenario, switching off and on the system will only help.
